Inner Haven is designed around a central 6 x 4.3-meter courtyard, sheltered by a glass roof and timber pergola. This rain-protected heart of the home invites natural light and fresh air, creating a serene, well-ventilated core that connects the surrounding living spaces and blurs the boundary between indoors and outdoors.

LOW-DENSITY HOUSING

(MERIT) Heaven & Earth House by HYLA Architects

Heaven & Earth House blends Feng Shui principles with vernacular design to create a serene, park-facing home for a senior couple. Multi-level courtyards connect earth and sky, while walls and screens provide privacy. Traditional materials complement the couple’s antique collection, balancing cultural heritage with contemporary living in a harmonious and meaningful sanctuary.

(MERIT) Holland Road House by EHKA Studio

This visually-striking house along Holland Road merges artistry with functionality defined by flowing curves and a harmonious integration of high-quality materials. Designed to evoke a sense of movement and visual intrigue, the house stands as both a dwelling and a work of art, redefining contemporary residential architecture.

(MERIT) Kampung House by RT+Q Architects

Kampung House is a sectionally driven house that sets itself as an example of tropical living without the need for mechanical ventilation, enjoying both light and air through natural cross ventilation. By rethinking sustainability in land-scarce Singapore, it creates a unique response to the typology of modern housing in Singapore.

SMALL HOUSES UNDER $2.5 MIL(MERIT) Library House by EHKA Studio

Designed for a family with a love for books, the house draws inspiration from classic library spaces, featuring a central, light-filled atrium encircled by open bookshelves. (DESIGN) Mandai Rainforest Hotel by WOW Architects

The resort and its systems adopt a biophilic attitude by blending into nature and becoming part of it, while creating an engaging and comfortable environment for the guests. The resort was designed with native flora and fauna as inspiration, and the architecture and interior design showcase the biodiversity of Mandai, offering guests an opportunity to appreciate and learn from the natural surroundings.

EDUCATIONAL AND COMMUNITY BUILDINGS

(MERIT) Singapore Institute of Technology (Campus Heart) by WOHA Architects

The Singapore Institute of Technology Campus Heart is organised as a “Campus-in-a-Park” with its buildings encircling the site’s existing vegetation. The design prioritises people, nature and sustainability through its pedestrian-friendly ground levels, activated public nodes, elevated Canopy Walks, biophilic learning and social spaces, district-wide infrastructural services, optimised precast facades and rooftop solar panels.

INDUSTRIAL AND UTILITY BUILDINGS

(DESIGN) The Reserve by Freight Architects with MonoLab Studio

Nestled in Changi’s quiet business district, The Reserve transformed an old electronic warehouse into a world-class vault for precious commodities. Its architecture balances tradition and innovation, reflecting the tension within the world’s financial system.
