The built environment, responsible for more than a third of global carbon emissions, is in a prime position to address climate challenges through low-carbon and net-zero building principles. The World Green Building Council (WorldGBC)’s Advancing Net Zero (ANZ) project aims to consolidate and catalyse action across the globe, and highlight leadership action in total sector decarbonisation. Through a combination of thought leadership and direct intervention action, the global project aims for buildings to be Net Zero Energy by 2030 and for all buildings to be Net Zero Carbon by 2050.
In this 3-part webinar series, hear perspectives on going net zero from different stakeholders in the built environment value chain, the possible pathways towards net zero and how challenges can be addressed.
A roundtable discussion with the WorldGBC ANZ team will be held after the 3rd webinar session to help translate notion into action and for the WorldGBC to share about the Net Zero Carbon Buildings Commitment. Registration for the roundtable is complimentary, and separate from the webinar registration and will be shared once finalised.
