The UIA, in partnership with UN-Habitat, has announced the finalists for the first stage of the second edition of the UIA 2030 Award. The Award recognises the work of architects who contribute to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the New Urban Agenda.
The regional finalists will now advance to Stage 2, where they will submit a three-minute video showcasing their projects in use, explaining their functions and detailing how they contribute to the relevant SDGs targets and meet eligibility criteria.
Winners in each of the six categories will receive a medal, with commendations for the remaining regional finalists. The awards ceremony will take place at the twelfth session of the World Urban Forum (WUF12) in Cairo, Egypt, from 4-8 November 2024.
