Pascal van Dort is Rockfon’s Global Acoustics Ambassador and is passionate about sound and architectural acoustics and the effect is has on people’s health, happiness and wellbeing.
With an education in Building Acoustics and 20 years of experience Pascal will be drawing on his expertise to look at the important issue of wellbeing in the built office environment.
Synopsis
In 2018 the World Health Organization (WHO) updated its Environmental Noise Guidelines for the first time since 1999, stressing that noise has negative impacts on human health and is becoming a growing concern. In Western Europe alone at least 1.6 million healthy years of life are lost due to noise. His project experience includes a wide variety of educational, cultural, healthcare, corporate and entertainment facilities. Pascal is also an esteemed member of The Acoustical Society of the Netherlands (NAG) where he works to educate people on optimizing their acoustic experiences in built environments
During his presentation Pascal will look at the trends in modern interior office design and how to overcome their acoustic challenges.
