SIA Building Contract 2016 was launched on 28 November 2016. The suite of new SIA standard conditions of contracts consists of Design and Build Contract, Without Quantity Contract (Lump Sum Contract) and Sub-Contract. They come with both domestic and international versions to suit the need of the industry.
The drafting of new standard conditions of contracts is SIA’s initiative to update the existing forms of contract published since 1979. The seminar shares the key features in these standard conditions of contracts and key changes compared to the previous version. Architects would benefit from having a clearer understanding of their implications for better contract administration.
