Changes to SIA Operations in view of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)

Dear SIA Members and valued partners,

In view of the recent developments in Singapore with regards to the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), SIA is managing the person to person contact procedures and the extent of contact between members, external parties and staff.

Please note the changes to the operations of the Singapore Institute of Architects and the precautionary measures implemented by SIA.

1. Sales of Publication
Purchase of publication will proceed online and the institute will mail the publication to the purchaser.  Self-collection, sale in person or collection by couriers will be suspended entirely until further notice.

2. Cash & Cheque Payment
SIA will suspend cash or cheque payment until further notice so as to reduce the need for staff to go to the bank.

All payments should be done electronically.

3. Seminars and Meetings
Upcoming seminars and meetings will proceed as planned unless advised otherwise.  We will however seek the cooperation of all at seminars and meetings to make the following declarations:

1. Past 14-day travel declaration.
2. Flu symptom declaration.

4. Precautionary Measures within SIA premises
All employees as well as occupants and service staff in the SIA building will be required to undergo a temperature check every morning to ensure that staff are given level 1 screening for the sake of members and visitors.
