The current COVID-19 pandemic have been there since February 2020 and the building and construction industry have been experienced slow restart of building works from June this 2020. The architect practitioners have fallen on hard times in respect of slow progress of works, cash flow problems, prolongation costs and diminished job opportunity in the last 6 months.
The institute had facilitated the architect practitioners to Safe Re-Opening the project works, to reach out for more job opportunities and to canvass for new projects collectively as a team.
The institute continue to work closely with BCA to provide further support and guidance to the architect practitioners to be resilient, to assist the practitioners on job search or on training efforts, and to promote new job opportunities.
Also, the institute will look internally to explore financial freedom in 3 years time.
The Singapore Institute of Architects is a professional organization established in 1963 with the objective to promote the architectural profession and the built environment in Singapore.
The Institute is the sole representative for architectural profession in Singapore.
