The Awards Committee develops and refines the framework for awards organised by the Institute which include defining the categories, judging criteria, judging process, and related exhibitions etc.
From time to time, the Committee works with external parties, including government agencies and private corporations to organise joint awards.

SIA Micro Design Awards (1986, 1988, 1993, 2003)
SIA Hunter Douglas Awards (1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2008, 2010)
SIA-HWA Awards for Handicaps Friendly Buildings (1998, 2003, 2005). This award was renamed as BCA Universal Design Award in 2007 and has been under the ambit of BCA since then.
