AP Karachi Chapter invites Kathryn Firth an internationally acclaimed architect and urban designer, presently teaching at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, to talk about the ‘Regenerative Catalysts; from urban surgery to a piece of city – the story of the London Olympic Legacy’ on Friday 2nd October 2020 at 18:00 PKT (GMT+5/SGT-3).
Kathryn is an Architect and Urban Designer. She is a partner in FP design. Prior to this she was Director of Urban Design at NBBJ. From 2011-14 she was the Chief of Design at the London Legacy Development Corporation.
Kathryn has taught simultaneous with practice throughout her career and is a strong proponent of an inter-disciplinary approach to urban challenges. She taught in the Cities Programme at the London School of Economics, the Architecture Association, and over the past three years she has been teaching urban planning and design at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design.
This talk will chart the evolution of London’s Olympic Legacy and describe the new development, from what has already been realized and to that still in the planning stage.
