Institute of Architects Pakistan-Karachi Chapter (IAP-KC) and the Board of Architectural Education (BAE-IAP) are excited to announce the webinar series, “Rethinking Architectural Education in South Asia” to be held every Saturday, 5pm PKT (+5 GMT), starting 18th July – 08th August, 2020.
This online event takes upon the curiosity revolving around ‘new normal’ amidst the current situation and the need to adapt, redefine, and evolve the Architectural Education in South Asia.
Panelists include both international and national architects within academia and the profession, creating a dialogue to determine a direction which can ultimately bridge the gap between the utopia of academia and reality of practice.
Our first session of the series titled, ‘Realities of Architecture Education and Practice’ will be held on 18th July 2020, Saturday, 5pm PKT (+5 GMT).
The panel for the first session comprises of esteemed Architects and Academics Ar. Syed Akeel Bilgrami (Pakistan), Ar. Rahul Mehrotra (United States), Ar. Jeewanthi Senadheera (Sri Lanka) and Ar. Asim Hameed (Pakistan). This session will be moderated by Ar. Nabah Ali Saad and Ar. Mishaal Rozina Merchant.
This event will be hosted by Ar. Ramiz Baig, Chairman IAP Karachi Chapter and Ar. Khadija Jamal Shaban, Chairperson BAE – IAP.
