With more than a decade of practising experience, my accumulated experiences from both big and small firms have exposed me to different perspectives of our fraternity. My current role as an architect, entrepreneur and educator have given me even more insight to the wide spectrum of our industry.
I believe in the mantra, “Stronger Together”. SIA is the right platform to pull us altogether, if we share the same vision. Regardless of whether we are big or small, young or old; architects should come
together as a strong community to influence our city’s past, present and future. Especially in times of pandemic, our role as an architect to voice out is even more critical.
My experiences in multiple Archifest events, and serving as the Co-Chair for YAL (Young Architects League) for two years so far, have given me insights on how SIA operates, and I have also earned precious new friendships from the fraternity. I believe it is time I can contribute more. I see myself as a connecting bridge between the young architects and the more established architects, to learn.
By bridging the gap, we can all come together with a shared vision of making Singapore Architecture – and Singapore architects – even better, both locally and regionally.
