Position:
Honorary Secretary
I believe in the education of an architect. The values and skillsets embodied in our training that allow architects to think and work across disciplines. Find patterns and
possibilities in seemingly unrelated fields of information. Create value systems to weight difficult decisions, so that we can always have the clarify of mind and moral
centre to do the right thing.
Covid 19 exposed deep cracks within our systems and society. There is an urgent need for capable leaders to seek new solutions for a better future. I am a firm believer that Architects should take on this future thinking role and re-establish ourselves as the thought leaders in this field.
If I am elected back to Council, I will continue to be the bridge between education and practice. Advocate the architectural way of thinking as a methodology to help us
understand the complexities of the world around us. Where the construct of our imagination is architectural, but our solutions are not limited to architecture.
