Jonathan is a registered architect and found his own practice, Provolk Architects in 2013. He recently became a partner with WY-TO Pte Ltd, a French multidisciplinary design firm based in Singapore.
In 2014, he led a ground-up initiative to “save” Dakota Crescent’s last remaining post-war SIT estate and steered a group of architects social researchers of diverse backgrounds to produce a comprehensive conservation report that was instrumental in convincing the URA and MND to conserve the area.
Today, Jonathan continues to be actively involved in heritage work with DoCoMoMo’s (Documentation And Conservation of the Modern Movement) Singapore Chapter and Singapore Heritage Society and an Executive Committee Member. He also teaches as an Adjunct Lecturer at Temasek Polytechnic’s Design School.
