Born in Singapore and started work as a draftsman since the age of 18, Seng Kee obtained his Diploma in Architecture from Singapore Polytechnic in 1965 through the part-time day release program. He further obtained his MSc Degree of Science (Int’l Construction Management) from the NTU in 1997. In 2017, he obtained his PhD with Planning, Design and Management of Public Nursing Home in Singapore, from the MIE University, Japan.

Professionaly, he is a Registered Architect of the Board of Architects (Singapore) and Board of Architects Malaysia (LAM) and an ASEAN registered Architect. He has also been a Council Member of the Singapore Institute of Architects from 2011 through 2020 (previously 2004 / 2005).

WIth more than 50 years of experience, he has had the opportunity to participate in the design, supervision and construction of wide range of building projects, from master planning to institutes of higher learning (NTU, NUS, ITE, SMU, Singapore Polytechnic, Hi-Tech sub-micron industrial projects (Malaysia / Singapore and China), medical (IMH Nursing Home) and hotels. He has been awarded from design competition, the most recent is the Wisma Geylang Serai for PA.
